Substrates

For repotting your orchids, we offer a range of substrates adapted to the different types of orchids. The basis of our substrates is pine bark (mainly from Portugal) in different sizes to which we add sphagnum moss. Be careful not to use orchid soil, except for your Cymbidium which are terrestrial orchids. Most orchids are epiphytic plants, they require a very draining substrate. In our online store you will find ready-to-use substrate mixes for each type of orchid: -standard substrate for Phalaenopsis and large plants; - substrates for fine-rooted orchids which will be suitable for Oncidium, Dendrobium, Odontoglossum, etc. - substrate for Paphiopedilum which contains coconut and retains more moisture. We also offer pine bark alone if you want to make your own potting mixes. Pine bark, professional quality, ideal as a substrate base for orchids.
